THUNDERER LIMITED WARRANTY FOR: P-METRIC, LIGHT TRUCK, AUTO PASSENGER AND PERFORMANCE TIRES AND ST RADIALS.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Eligibility is contingent on meeting all the following criteria:

  • Your THUNDERER tires were purchased on or after January 1, 2012
  • Your THUNDERER tires are used ONLY on the vehicle on which they were originally installed in accordance with vehicle manufactures designations found in the vehicles
    owners manual.
  • You are the owner or authorized agent of NEW THUNDERER P-Metric, Light Truck,
Auto Passenger and Performance Tires and ST Radials.
(Light Truck tires are defined as all tires with the sidewall identification “LT”.)

WHAT IS COVERED AND FOR HOW LONG?

FREE TIRE REPLACEMENT PERIOD

If an eligible Thunderer brand passenger or light truck tires or ST Radials becomes unserviceable from workmanship, materials, road hazard or a condition other then those listed below during the first 25% of usable tread wear or one (1) year from date of purchase (whichever comes first) it will be credited back in the full amount of the original price.

PRORATED ADJUSTMENT

Tires not eligible for the free replacement that are removed from service due to a covered warranty condition will be replaced with a comparable new THUNDERER tire on a prorated basis for a period of five (5) years from the date of the original new tire purchase or when the tread-wear indicators become visible (worn to 2/32”), whichever occurs first.

WHAT IS A COMPARABLE TIRE?

A “comparable” tire may be either the same line and pattern of tire or, in the event that the tire is not available, a tire of the same basic construction and quality with a different sidewall or tread configuration. If a higher-priced tire is accepted as replacement, the difference in price will be at an additional charge to you.
Any THUNDERER replacement tire provided pursuant to this warranty will be covered by the THUNDERER warranty in effect at the time of replacement.

TIRE MILEAGE WARRANTY

The Thunderer brand tires listed below are warranted against wear out up to the mileage coverage shown in this section, even though the actual mileage you may get from your tires may vary because of driving habits and road conditions. Subject to the items originally covered below, if one of the tires listed in this warranty wears out before the listed mileage American Omni Trading will adjust the tire on a pro-rata basis. “Wear Out” means that the tire’s tread has worn evenly down to the tread wear indicator’s (2/32nds of an inch of tread remaining). “Pro- Rata” for this Tread Wear Out Coverage is measured by the odometer readings at the time of the tire’s purchase, as printed on the original tire sales invoice, and at the time of replacement. In addition, you must present a completed rotation schedule contained in the original owner’s copy of the tire’s Limited Warranty / Tire Guide / Adjustment Policy.

TIRE(S) that have not been rotated at least every 6000 miles as evidenced by a completed rotation schedule are excluded.

TIRE(S) in service for more then 60 months regardless of mileage are not covered.

TREAD LIFE LIMITED WARRANTY

THUNDERER replacement tire listed below is warranted against pre-mature tread wear-out based on the following table:
You must present the tire to be adjusted to a THUNDERER Retailer. Tires replaced as an adjustment become the property of THUNDERER Tires.
You must pay any other applicable taxes and government-mandated charges on the services you order at the time of adjustment relating to any unique applications requiring mounting, demounting or balancing.
No claim will be recognized unless submitted on an approved claim form (supplied by a THUNDERER retailer) completely filled out and where you, the owner, or your authorized agent presented the tire for adjustment.

THUNDERER TIRE CARE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE

To ensure satisfactory mileage and performance from your THUNDERER tires give them a simple but frequent (at least monthly) check for proper inflation along with even tread wear and inspect your tires for any presence of damage.*

MAINTAIN PROPER INFLATION PRESSURE

Proper inflation pressure is essential for optimum tire performance, safety and fuel economy. Check for proper inflation pressure at least monthly while tires are cool. Tires will warm up from use after a number of miles so its best to check before driving. Use a quality hand held accurate tire gauge. Its best to occasionally have your THUNDERER tires inspected by a professional tire shop, it is difficult to tell just by looking at radial tires whether they are under-inflated or over-inflated.

Furthermore, when operating a vehicle equipped with radial tires, it is difficult to notice when a tire has gone flat or nearly flat since the “feel” of the vehicle may not always change significantly.

*Evidence of air loss or repeated under-inflation always requires expert inspection to determine the source of leakage and tire removal to determine repairability. To avoid injury, NEVER attempt to re-inflate a tire that has been run severely under-inflated.

Progressive air loss may result from a variety of conditions such as punctures, cuts, curbing, impacts or partial bead unsealing. Some installation or fitment causes for air loss are (1) incomplete bead seating, (2) tearing of the tire bead caused by a machine tool due to insufficient lubrication or improper adjustment, (3) leaking valve core or rubber valve components. These should be corrected or replaced when problems are detected and/or whenever tires are replaced.

Always maintain inflation pressure at the level recommended by the vehicle manufacturer as shown on the vehicle placard, on the vehicle certification label or in the vehicle owner’s manual:
Under-inflation is the leading cause of tire failure and may result in severe cracking, component separation or complete loss of air. Under-inflation reduces tire load carrying capacity, allows for excessive sidewall flexing and increased rolling resistance, resulting in potential heat build-up and mechanical damage. Maintaining proper inflation pressure is the most important thing you can do to help promote tire safety, durability and maximize tread life.

Overinflation increases excess stiffness, which may deteriorate ride and generate unwanted vibration. Overinflation also increases the chances of impact damage.

DON’T OVERLOAD YOUR VEHICLE

The maximum load capacity stamped on the sidewalls of P-metric tires is reduced by 10 percent when used on a light truck, utility vehicle or trailer. Never fit P-metric tires to light trucks that specify LT-type replacement tires.
